Cancer Benefit

Ladies, this is no ordinary Texas Hold'em tournament. This is a Pink Poker Night. It's girls night; a gentle, woman's only poker night. It's a hoot, even if you don't win. Join us for a night that emphasizes sisterhood, laughter and fun. There are two tournaments to appeal to ladies of all skill levels. The beginner's tournament is for those who have never (or rarely) set foot at a poker table. The experienced player's tournament is for the connoisseur who understands the meaning of Big Slick. Why a Ladies Pink Poker Night?

This event raises money in our continuing fight against cancer. All money raised from registration, sponsors, and donations is gifted to the Rochester Area Eagles Cancer Telethon for funding cancer research at Mayo Clinic, U of M, and Hormel Institute. This research aids in current treatment options for all those we support in their fight to beat back cancer.

The evening is held in honor of Charlene Gerads: a woman whose brave battle against cancer and love of life was an inspiration to all who met her. She fought bravely for 16 years through numerous treatment options provided at Mayo Clinic, and she is the creative mind behind Ladies Pink Poker. See more of Charlene's story...
